Tourism and travel is getting more and more differentiated meeting specific customer needs.
KATA in partnership with Design Initiative Limited, publisher of Think Safari Magazine hosted the inaugural Africa Tourism and Travel Fair (ATTF) themed Karibu Kenya! Discover, Rest and Relax on October 19-21, 2018 at the Two Rivers Mall in Limuru.
The main aim of the trade fair was to drastically expand the tourism client base for destination Kenya by not only having quality trade and media attend the show but by also arranging for face to face interaction with industry stakeholders and decision makers. It brought together hoteliers, tour operators, travel agents, tourism boards’ officials, and other service providers in the industry.
While officially opening the Fair Mr Nicanor Sabula, CEO of KATA said the expo gave attendees a competitive advantage in the industry because they get to sample the various tourism products that the country has on offer through product familiarization tours.
“For the convenience of the traveller, travel agents are beginning to liaise with other service providers in the sector to streamline the system and ease the experience for the consumers.” Says Deepak Sigh, Marketing Manager, Satguru Travel and Tours Services Ltd during an interview at the trade fair.
ATTF brought different service providers in the tourism and travel sector, to network, share their expertise and sell their products and services, this is the one of the fastest and surest way to grow the industry.
The travel industry is growing fast, therefore we need to adapt to the changes and trends that are happening.
