Kenya Association of Travel Agents (KATA) has been in the forefront in advancing its goal as bridge between the travel industry, government, members and other travel trade partners in order to positively contribute to the growth of the industry in Kenya.
It is in pursuit of this goal that we are partnering with Design Initiative Limited, publisher of Think Safari Magazine to bring you Africa Tourism and Travel Fair (ATTF) themed Karibu Kenya! Discover, Rest and Relax. The Expo will take place on October 19-21, 2018 at the Two Rivers Mall in Limuru.
The main aim of the trade fair is to drastically expand the tourism client base for destination Kenya by not only having quality trade and media attend the show but by also arranging for face to face interaction with industry stakeholders and decision makers. It will bring together hoteliers, tour operators, travel agents, tourism boards’ officials, and other service providers in the industry.
Mr Nicanor Sabula, CEO of KATA said the expo gives attendees a competitive advantage in the industry because they get to sample the various tourism products that the country has on offer through product familiarization tours. “The expo is aimed at raising the profile of Kenya as preferred destination locally, regionally and internationally. There are many Travel Agencies across Kenya so it will be an ideal opportunity for Airlines, International Tourist offices, Hotel groups and Tour Operators to network with agents,” Mr Sabula said.
ATTF will hold a Networking Cocktail Party with exhibitors on the evening October 21 and a morning breakfast session on October 19. The Executive Director, Design Initiative, Vincent Angatia said: “Already more than 30 exhibitors, tourism boards and media have confirmed their participation. “Locally, the registration of exhibitors is going on and we are seeing a lot of interest from small and new tourism businesses.”
KATA advocates for the improvement of the quality of services provided to travelers to and from Kenya and contributes to the development of the travel and tourism industry through a variety of activities including disseminating information, encouraging co-operation among members, and promoting the development of businesses and legislation that will benefit the membership and the industry at large.Back to news articles
