The Kenya Association of Travel Agents (KATA) is teaming up with Google Kenya to conduct a series of training for her members on digital skills. This partnership will see KATA members trained on social media marketing, digital advertising, email marketing among others.
The training is a follow up to a commitment made by Google Kenya at the 2018 KATA Convention to offer free training to KATA members in order to improve their digital skills. According to KATA CEO, Nicanor Sabula, it is a major breakthrough for KATA to collaborate with a global company like Google to help build the digital skills of her members. “It is now generally accepted that digital marketing is the cog that provides competitive advantage to many businesses in an increasingly digital world. It is with this in mind that KATA is partnering with Google Kenya to hold the Digital Skills training”, he said
The training sessions are scheduled for 24th and 25th October 2018 at the Amadeus East Africa Training room and will see a total of 100 travel agents trained over the two-day period. More trainings are scheduled to follow up through next year. This training scheme is in line with KATA’s strategic plan of continuously building members’ professional capacity in order to compete in a changing business environment.Back to news articles
