The 13th Eco Warrior awards & dinner will be held on the 26th September, 2018 at Crown Plaza.
Eco-Warrior Awards recognize efforts, innovations and exceptional achievements for promoting responsible tourism. This annual event has emphasis on enhancing tourism sustainability which directly conserves the natural environment linked to local communities (either credible individuals or groups) through mutually beneficial and equitable partnerships. The award aims to celebrate ecotourism best practices in different tourism sectors and tourism setups in Kenya. Eco-Warriors Awards truly recognized these unsung heroes and heroines for their effort to promote responsible and sustainable tourism in Kenya.
The unique characteristic of ecotourism is its cardinal principle of linking tourism to nature conservation and community development, especially for local people who have conserved the environment since time immemorial through their traditional customs and cultural practices.
The Gala Dinner will be held on the eve of the World Tourism Day with the theme Tourism – Promoting Culture and Heritage and graced by Dr. Evangeline Njoka Secretary General, Kenya National Commission for UNESCO who will also be the keynote speaker.
Other notable guests will be the Director General National Museum of Kenya Dr. Mzalendo Kibunjia, KTB CEO Dr. Betty Radier, KTB Marketing Director Ms. Jacinta Nzioka, Hon.
