Suzette Paes Set to Retire After 40 Years in the Travel Industry!  17th Aug 2018

One of the Kenya’s most recognizable personalities in the travel industry is set to retire at the end of this month.

Suzette Paes departs from Lufthansa’s Sales and Marketing team after three years of operations during which she developed and maintained a wide client base.

Having gained a vast experience in sales and marketing, administration and a two-year acting Country Manager position at Brussels Airlines have proved invaluable to the airlines she has worked with which include Air India, Sabena, Swissair, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa/Swiss – as well as to their many corporate, diplomatic and international agency clients, including the European Union, United Nations, I.O.M and several embassies.

A keen traveller and passionate industry player, Suzette represented Kenya globally over a span of two decades as Regional Vice-President to the World Airlines Clubs Association at their AGM and other country level assemblies with main responsibilities over East and Southern Africa, the Indian Ocean islands and the Middle East regions and all the while promoting Kenya as a premier tourist destination.

Asked about her next move, she told KATA Weekly Travel “I am not known to rest on my laurels, I will now be considering other career options within the industry as i take a well-earned break.”

All of us at KATA would like to take this opportunity to wish Suzette well as she steps out to seek other endeavors and to say 'asante sana' for her indefatigable service to our industry and for the promotion of tourism in Kenya.
