East Africa set to host Dubai Tourism Trade Show  23rd Apr 2018

Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) simply known as Dubai Tourism has announced dates for its 2018 East Africa Tourism Trade Show.

The week-long show will kick off in Addis Ababa Ethiopia on Wednesday May 2nd 2018 followed by Kigali Rwanda on Friday 4th May 2018. After the weekend break, the caravan will head to the newly opened Movenpick Hotel in Nairobi’s district of Westlands on Monday 7th before concluding in Kampala Uganda on Wednesday 9th May 2018.

The Director in charge of Africa Operations Stella Obinwa has assured travel trade partners of a fully packed event. “We hope to share new Dubai products and destination training material with agents in each of these countries.  Several Dubai properties, airlines, DMC’s, and attractions will be coming with us for the workshop,” she said. “They will each give presentations, share their upcoming offers, packages, commission structure, and build relationships directly with the travel agents.”

The Kenya Association of Travel Agents (KATA) has committed its support to the trade show during its tour in Nairobi.  KATA CEO Nicanor Sabula welcomed Dubai Tourism back to Nairobi stating “DTCM has been a key partner for many years and we look forward to exploring new and emerging business opportunities for our members in Dubai.”
