Date set for introduction of IATA NEWGEN ISS in Kenya  14th Mar 2018

The much touted IATA’s New Generation Settlement System NEWGEN ISS will become operational in Kenya from October 2019. According to a schedule that the KATA Weekly News has seen, Norway became the first country to go live on 8 March this year. Next on line will be Finland, followed by Sweden and Canada. 

The first African country to switch to NEWGEN ISS will be Egypt in October 2018 followed by several countries in the West and Central Africa region. In East Africa, Ethiopia will go first in April 2019 followed by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania in the fourth quarter of the year.
