Members of the Kenya Association of Travel Agents put serial defaulters on notice
Metropol East Africa Ltd has concluded a Partnership Agreement with Kenya Association of Travel Agents (KATA) to provide credit and risk management solutions to enable members grow their businesses. The Partnership Agreement will make it possible for KATA Members to share credit information on individual, Corporate and Sub Agents so as to help KATA Members assess their credit worthiness and help identify and isolate serial defaulters, who continue to be a big risk in the Travel Industry. We anticipate that this agreement will reduce default rates in the Industry as consumers of Travel Services will seek to protect their “reputation collateral” by meeting their obligations in a timely manner. With Members sharing Credit Information, KATA anticipates that there will be a strong motivation for clients to repay their debts thus improving her members profitability and competitiveness. This move aims at bringing to an end an era where consumers of travel services move from one provider to the next leaving behind a debt trail.
