The KATA secretariat organizes breakfast meetings where the associations chairman briefs the membership on specific industry issues. The meeting is a premier platform for CEO to update members on key association's agenda. The meetings are attended by an estimate of 50- 60 owners and directors of Travel Agents. The meetings are held in Nairobi, Mombasa, Rift valley and western regions.
This is a highly interactive meeting with a question and answer session facilitated by a key personality in a travel industry field that directly affects the travel agents and their businesses. The topics of the meetings are derived from the day to day challenges encountered by Travel agents while running their businesses. The industry meetings are held quarterly in Nairobi.
KATA strives to enhance capacity development among its members. We facilitate trainings to enhance industry standards and provide member access to information and promotional materials in a way that promotes their effective participation in the industry.
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The AGM is an annual gathering of KATA members. At the AGM, the Board presents an annual report, and updates members on performance and strategy.
Travel Agents Innovation Forum
Travel Industry Innovation Forum brings together Directors, Managing Directors, senior managers and team leaders from Travel Agencies as well as experts from various crucial fields to discuss innovation in the industry. You can expect a tremendous agenda, experienced speakers and intense networking.
Members Social Night
The Social Night event hosts KATA members to an informal evening of dining, storytelling, music and dance. The event provides networking opportunities with the movers and shakers of the travel trade in Kenya.
End of Year Dinner & Social Night.
A laid- back, fun filled event where members meet to celebrate achievements of the year and share their experiences. The event is held in Mombasa and Nairobi.
