Ordinary Membership

Qualification for ordinary membership is open for any form or company which

1. has its registered office and/or place of business in Kenya and maintains a premises easily accessible to the public all the year round, and
2. licensed under the Tourist Industry Licensing Act, and
3. carries on business as a travel agent employing professionally qualified staff, and
4. has held a passenger license issued by the International Air Transport Association for at least two consecutive years, and
5. can show proof of a suitable executive management as to standard of service and integrity, and
6. can produce references from senior management staff of two International airlines which are Members of the IATA/BSP Kenya, and
7. can produce a recommendation from one Ordinary Member of the Association, and
8. confirms that the Constitution and Code of Ethics of the Association has been read and understood and will be honored

Assosciate Membership

Qualification for assosciate membership is open for any form or company which

1. is an IATA appointed travel agent having its place of business outside Kenya, and
2. can produce references from Senior Management Staff of two International airlines or
3. is an IATA airlineCappointed General Sales Agent having its place of business outside Kenya and
4. meets the qualifications set out in the ordinary membership requirenents above OR is a Training Establishment approved by the IATA/UFTAA Training Board, Geneva or A bona fide overseas Travel Agents Association.
5. is the holder of a passenger license issued by IATA
